Living with noticeable hair loss is no longer to be expected due to the incredible developments that have been made in the treatment of men’s hair loss. With the introduction of Propecia, generic name Finasteride, it is now possible to stop or slow down the progression of hair loss in the majority of men who use it.
Fifty percent of all men experience male-patterned baldness; the most common type of hair loss beginning around the age of thirty.
It generally starts as a receding hairline; a thinning of hair on the crown and temples; resulting in a U-shape pattern around the head. In some rare cases, a male may end up completely bald.
The condition is genetic; caused by an abundance of the male hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which causes the hair follicles to become weak and eventually inactive, resulting in a lack of hair re-growth. This process can take decades, so if you have experienced rapid hair loss (under a year) or scalp irritation causing bald patches, you should seek medical advice from your GP to ensure there are no underlying thyroid conditions or other reasons for the condition.
One of the most effective treatments for general hair loss is finasteride, which prevents further hair loss and increases hair growth.
Applied totoHair is a sensitive hair-related condition, affecting the scalp and can cause significant hair loss, especially in affected areas of the scalp. When hair is caught from someone, it can be identified via a specific distinctive pattern, known as the hairloss____ pattern.

Forum Topic: Propecia Vs. Finasteride in Hair Loss
Posted by: forum poster
Hi everyone,
I've been taking finasteride for hair loss for about a year now. I noticed some improvement in my hair growth recently, but not enough to warrant the prescription. Is there anything I can do?
Thats my question. Is there something I can do to enhance my hair growth? I've read a lot about propecia but haven't found anything about it in scientific studies. I guess I can go with Finasteride if I want to. The thing is, I've been on Finasteride for years, and I've noticed slight improvement in my hair. So, I guess I should probably get it on an elixir rather than a prescription.
Thats a great question! Thanks for the advice and information! I've read about it in the forums and heard some research and found it seems to work pretty well in slowing down hair loss in some cases. I'm curious about what other people have found?
Hey,I've heard that Propecia can help with hair loss but have not seen any studies. I'd really appreciate any advice or information you can share.
I'm on Finasteride, so I'll definitely go with it. It's been a while since I've been using it, so it might be worth considering it a long time ago.
Thats a good question! It has been around for a while now, but not as long as Propecia. It's still a good option for hair loss but might need some trial and error before starting it.
Thanks for the information!
Thats great!I would definitely go with Propecia as a long-term solution for hair loss. However, it's not as reliable as Finasteride. It has been used off-label for a long time, and I'm worried about side effects like the one mentioned in this thread. I'd probably check with my doctor to see if it has the same effect as Finasteride.
Thats fine, but it's not the same thing as Propecia. It's a generic that is FDA-approved for hair loss. I'm not sure if it's available on the market or not, but it's not as effective as Propecia.
Thanks for all the help!
It's a prescription medication and it's available in most pharmacies. I would definitely check it out and recommend it as an alternative if you need it.
Thanks again,
I wouldn't use Propecia as a long-term solution for hair loss. The fact that Finasteride is FDA-approved for hair loss doesn't mean that it won't work well against hair loss. It's a medication, and it works well. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who's already been using finasteride or other hair loss treatments. The fact that Finasteride is only FDA-approved for hair loss, does make it unsuitable for some people with hair loss.
Good luck!
I'm not sure if it's available on the market, but it's not as effective as Propecia.
I know how easy it is to get your hair in the right place, but is there anything I can do to enhance my hair growth? I've read a lot about finasteride, but haven't been able to find anything about it in scientific studies. I'd really like to hear more of an answer from someone who's tried it.
